Andrew H. Miller, M.D.

Dr. Miller grew up in East Texas and graduated with honors from Baylor University. He received his medical degree from The University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. He then completed a year-long Surgery Internship in Lexington, KY at The University of Kentucky College of Medicine before moving to Austin in 2013 to complete his 5-year General Surgery residency training at The University of Texas at Austin Dell Medical School. During that time, he was honored with the Raleigh Ross Scholarship Award from the Texas Surgical Society for most outstanding Surgery resident in 2016.

After completing General Surgery training and becoming Board Certified by the American Board of Surgery, Dr. Miller then moved to Houston for an additional training residency in Colon and Rectal Surgery from 2017-2018 with The University of Texas McGovern Medical School in the world-renowned Texas Medical Center. While in Houston, he trained under some of the nation’s most respected Colon and Rectal surgeons and further advanced his operative, endoscopic, and clinical skills.

Dr. Miller utilizes both non-operative and endoscopic, laparoscopic, and advanced daVinci Robotic minimally invasive techniques when appropriate for his patients. He is always happy to see new patients at both the North Austin and Central Austin office locations.

From Dr. Miller:

“As a native Texan and having completed my General Surgery training in Austin, I’m thrilled to be establishing my Colon and Rectal Surgery practice in the Austin area. With an interest in colorectal malignancies, diverticular disease, anorectal disorders, and operative management of inflammatory bowel disease, I’m excited to work with this excellent medical community and be available to help however possible.

My main focus is to serve those who live here in Central Texas with the utmost level of dignity and respect. I understand that patients may not look forward to visiting their Colorectal Surgeon, so I’m dedicated to making each visit a professional and comfortable experience.

Away from the hospital, my family gets my time and attention. My wife, Katharine, and our daughter keep life interesting. You’ll find us exploring the restaurants of Austin, watching college football in the Fall, having friends over for dinner, and taking the dogs on a run around Lady Bird Lake. Other interests include wing shooting, traveling, and remodeling our home.”
